FILTRATION & THICKENING day of copper tailings with a cake moisture content range of 10-20 %. The design allows for cake blowing through drying if needed. Its standard features include a cloth shaking system, quick cloth changing procedure, plate design that ensures low OPEX and four half cloths per plate to minimise cloth consumption. It uses a low pressure cloth washing system for each cycle with high pressure washing periodically. The operation is completely automated with high reliability for quick and easy maintenance including structurally integrated maintenance platforms and access walkways. The GHT5000F Domino offers two to three times more volume and capacity for copper tailings than the previous largest Diemme filter, the GHT2500F.
A second GHT5000F remains in Chile with another copper customer, with assembly awaiting some other final project decisions. Beyond that, Pezzi says it is discussing the use of this unit at other projects, especially in Latin America.
Looking at other orders, Pezzi comments:“ We had a very good Q3 2025, including an order in the US from a phosphate mining client who already had two GHT2500F18 filters for the filtration of concentrates and now they placed an order for two additional units for tailings filtration- in this case GHT2500F30 with 141 plates, where 30 denotes the nominal length of the beam in metres. This units will also be connected through our AIDA IIoT system through to our company.”
Regarding AIDA, a major development in innovation terms is a system to monitor and detect the status of the filter cloths and provide real time information about potential replacement. This patented system is AIbased and will reproduce the status of the cloths. Where it can identify potential failures or the onset start of failure, this will be really helpful for customers as it can tell them and Diemme the best moment to make a replacement of the cloths and even prevent failures.
Another new order for Diemme is from southeast Asia, where a gold miner has placed an order for three units of the GHT2500F for a total capacity of over 615 t / h. Again, this system will be connected through AIDA. Both these filters and the phosphate filters in the US will have the new filter cloth visualisation system. The Asian order scope of supply also includes pumps and compressors as well.
On AIDA itself, use of the system is growing, and Pezzi said that it is planning to have more than 20 units connected by the end of this year. AIDA amongst other things enables an efficient spare parts management, procurement and routine maintenance planning strategy. Plus using the AIDA app, it is possible to monitor realtime values and trends of flows, system utility consumption and equipment status. Finally, Diemme has created a new Business Unit devoted to filter media including both technical and commercial components in it to support the client in the best selection options.
