Water recovery has increased significantly with the paste thickener providing substantial water recovery .
In another success story of continued client confidence , DELKOR , through its Indian operations , has been awarded high rate thickeners of various sizes ranging from 25 m to 50 m in diameter by one of the largest iron ore miners in India . These thickeners will form an integral part of an ambitious expansion of the current mine capacity and emphasise the savings in freshwater intake by using DELKOR High Rate Thickeners .
DELKOR is also ready for the commissioning of high capacity thickeners with electric drives in Brazil . A special requirement from the client to have all electric operation thus avoiding the traditional hydraulic drive .

Lithium is crucial for the batteries used by the electrical vehicle industry , and lithium processing is one of the core competencies of FLSmidth .”

Metso combined thickener and filter order for Peru
Metso has been awarded with a contract valued at around € 15 million ($ 16 million ) to deliver several thickeners and filters to a mine water treatment project in Peru .
Metso ’ s scope of delivery includes several high-rate thickeners operating in a high density sludge ( HDS ) mine water treatment application and automatic EBS series liquid filters with an electric self-cleaning mechanism for ultra-fine filtration .

FLSmidth solutions for lithium processing
FLSmidth has received a major order to deliver thickeners and filters to a large , greenfield lithium plant in the US . This new FLSmidth order will contribute to an increased supply of lithium , which is required for electric vehicle battery production . Based on extensive ore testing and preliminary equipment designs , the technologies that FLSmidth will deliver will help reduce operating costs for the customer .
