Audible alarms alert the driver and pedestrian to any exclusion zone infringement .
FHOSS Light Livery panels use passive light technology to draw attention to vehicles and can also be incorporated into signage for use as a directional or promotional aid .
" Temporary blindness is caused when we look directly into a light source ; when we look away , a dark imprint is left in your sight for a few seconds that can distort – perhaps dangerously – your vision . The FHOSS Illuminated Safety Walkways use a combination of locking gates , sirens and illuminated red and green pathways to very clearly show mining workforces where – and when – it is safe for them to walk .

New cap lamp innovations from NLT Lighting Solutions
NLT Lighting Solutions has introduced the Eagle Plus and Falcon Plus , two ' smart ' cap lamps now with Dual-Beam technology for underground mines . Each of the lamps can accommodate either a tracking or a proximity tag , or both . With the added Dual-Beam technology , miners can select from four beam patterns plus Dynamic Turbo Bright , an added feature that supercharges any of the beams by 40 %.
The Eagle was the first semi-corded cap lamp in the world to accommodate both tracking and proximity tags , and the Falcon is a corded version of the Eagle . The ' Plus ,' which indicates new Dual-Beam technology , now makes these the most technologically advanced cap lamps on the market .
" These new lamps offer both safety and convenience for miners ," said Rich Humber , NLT Director of Sales and Marketing . " Their embedded tags , lights and alarm provide numerous safety features , and the multiple beam patterns give miners the right light for every job they do ."

features in the Eagle Plus and Falcon Plus include two coloured LEDs , amber and blue , which are the most visible underground light colours . These LEDs can be used by third-party solution providers to communicate a variety of customised signals , including warning or danger alerts . For example , a proximity solution provider can design the light to flash if someone enters a warning or danger area . A tracking solution provider can signal an evacuation order to indicate a person has entered a geofenced or danger area .
An audio alarm , added to the rear battery pack , is an additional safety feature that will sound to provide an alert according to customisable programming .

technology offers a focused spot , wide-angle flood light , Dual-Beam ( a combination of the two ) and a low-light / emergency setting . In addition , its Dynamic Turbo Bright mode increases the light output in any of the first three beam patterns by 40 % for a total of 15 minutes per charge .
NLT says the Eagle Plus is an ideal choice for smaller people or those with compromised necks because of its even weight distribution . It has been shown to significantly reduce neck strain and fatigue , proving a more balanced and comfortable headgear experience .
