Tsurumi out to connect
Tsurumi will not only be exhibiting a wide range of drainage and sewage pumps at bauma , it will also be presenting its data link system in a fully functional solution with booster pumps that , Tsurumi says , leaves nothing to be desired in terms of cost and safety .
Construction and mining companies expect analogue equipment to be digitally networked when they operate their pumps and machines – even those from other manufacturers – and that is what the company has sought to provide with the ‘ Tsurumi Connect ’ system . The manufacturer will be demonstrating how this works in a wet live operation .
Fire suppression for mining , construction
The mining and construction industries operate in some of the world ’ s most challenging environments , where fire risks pose a serious threat to equipment , operations and worker safety .

At bauma , Dafo Vehicle will showcase its advanced fire suppression systems designed specifically for heavy-duty machinery in these high-risk industries .
“ With over a century of fire safety expertise , Dafo Vehicle has developed customisable , highperformance solutions that ensure maximum safety and operational reliability ,” it says . “ Our tailored fire suppression systems help protect valuable mining and construction equipment , minimising downtime and reducing the risk of costly fire incidents .”
In Munich , the company will present how its state-of-the-art technology delivers fast , effective and reliable fire suppression – keeping both the workforce and investments safe .
Connected lighting
At bauma 2025 , FORVIA HELLA will present what it says are groundbreaking technologies and product innovations that support the industry ' s megatrends such as digitalisation and sustainability .
The company will present its vision of a digital and connected construction machine cabin for the first time at bauma 2025 : the Smart Link Concept . All lighting products , from the work lamps to the interior lamps , not only communicate with each other via a data bus , but are also networked with sensors , cameras and other electronic components . Its application is also expected to hold relevance for mining companies .
“ Digital networking simplifies the system architecture ,” Fabian Utermöhlen , Vice President of the Business Group Lifecycle Solutions at FORVIA HELLA , says . “ In addition , new technologies and functions can be easily integrated . This ensures that the construction machines will remain state-of-the-art in the coming years .”
By networking lighting with other systems , potential hazards can be detected and visualised at an early stage . Matrix work lamps , for example , ensure optimum illumination of the

working environment and minimise glare from oncoming machines and the driver ' s own glare . Work lamps with different light colours prevent eye fatigue . In addition , the work lamp can be adjusted based on the current lighting conditions to maintain optimal visibility at all times , the company claims . Signal lamps can also be integrated into the concept .
With a view to autonomous driving , these could , for example , display the driving mode or visualise the state of charge .
In addition , the " Smart Vehicle Access " system supports driver identification , which is transmitted to the vehicle and enables individual lighting scenarios to be established there . The access system also enables the management of access authorisations for different people . Fleet managers could thus monitor the status of vehicles at any time , pass on virtual keys or block them to prevent unauthorised use .
“ All of these are no longer visions of the future but are already possible today with our products and solutions ,” Utermöhlen said . “ At the trade fair , we make it possible to experience these in an overall concept .”
FORVIA HELLA will also present its latest innovation in the field of safety lighting for construction machinery . The company is expanding the K-LED Nano to a beacon family with its new K-LED Nano 50 , 80 and 120 . The beacon is available in three different sizes , so it can be flexibly adapted to the different needs and space conditions of the machines . In addition , the lamp can be customised .
Highlights from FORVIA HELLA ' s electronics portfolio round off the trade fair appearance . For example , the company has further developed the intelligent battery sensor specifically to meet ASIL-B safety requirements . These sensors are essential key components for central energy management in the vehicle , enabling precise measurements of voltage , current and temperature parameters . They also provide insights into the state of charge and aging , as well as the performance , of the battery .
