Among a number of new launches and debuts relevant to mining are the latest generation of Epiroc ’ s COPROD rock drills , a showcase of selected tophammer drilling tools , as well as more information on what the newly-acquired YieldPoint company can bring to the table .
The selection of tophammer drilling tools includes products from the Epiroc Yellow Line , which provides the best total cost of ownership for customers operating in tough rock conditions . Epiroc will also feature Epiroc Grey Line products , tailored for customers focusing on cost per metre in less demanding rock conditions , both in surface and underground applications .
Visitors will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Epiroc PCD products – drill bits with buttons coated in diamond , which help protect people , productivity and the environment . Its newly released DTH 5 hammer , the HW 4 hammer , and the digital solution , Epiroc DTH Optimizer , will also be highlighted .
The COP QM50CR is the latest generation of Epiroc ’ s COPROD rock drills and the most powerful in the range , with 50 kW of output . It is an improvement over the previous COP 5060CR rock drill , resulting in longer service intervals and more reliable performance , the company says .
The COP SC19X-HF is an updated version of the previous COP SC16 family , completing the 19 kW rock drill offerings from Epiroc alongside the COP SC19X-HE ( High Energy ). HF stands for High Frequency , achieving 19 kW of output power with lower impact energy per hit but higher hitting frequency compared with the HE version . It is an excellent choice for drilling holes with a diameter of 51-89 mm , according to Epiroc .
