Metso boosts pumps offering with Jindex
Last July, Metso signed an agreement to acquire Jindex Pty Ltd, a privately owned Australian company specialising in valves and process flow control. Metso said combining Metso’ s extensive experience and offering in slurry handling, hydrocyclones and minerals processing

The Metso Pumps business line offers complete solutions for slurry handling and hydrocyclones, including equipment, parts, aftermarket and lifecycle services and digital services. The equipment offering includes slurry pumps, pipes, hoses, valves and hydrocyclones.
Franklin Electric picks up PumpEng; Pioneer adds Minetuff
Another pumps related acquisition in Australia came in February 2025, when Franklin Electric announced that it had bought PumpEng, a global OEM of submersible pumps targeted for the mining sector.
Franklin stated:“ This acquisition continues to strengthen Franklin Electric’ s commitment to the mining industry and complements existing operations in Australia under the Pioneer Pump and Minetuff brands.”
Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, PumpEng is a A $ 12.5 million business with locations in Kalgoorlie, Townsville, and Adelaide, Australia, and Twin Falls, Idaho, USA. The company offers a targeted portfolio of dewatering pumps under a number of brands, including JetGuard, Guardian, and Raptor. All PumpEng products are assembled in Australia in ISO 9001 / 14001 and ATEXcertified manufacturing facilities.
