Upcoming Film Projects;

ENCOUNTER (Sci-Fi/Thriller)

Brandon is set to direct Tahmoh Penikett (Supernatural, Battlestar Galactic, Doll House, Castle ) in his next feature film called ‘Encounter’. Encounter is an alien thriller who's story revolves around Dillon, a teenage filmmaking enthusiast, and his older sister Alexis, who go and spend 5 days on their estranged uncle's (Tahmoh Penikett) farm on the eve of the one-year disappearance of their father, where they encounter strange phenomena.

Tahmoh had this to say recently about 'Encounter' and Brandon during an interview at the Calgary Comic Expo in May.

“I have 2 movies coming up, one’s called ‘Encounter’ written by a very young man, I believe he’s 15 years old. I couldn’t believe it, and I’ll be honest with you; I went in with trepidation when I heard that and then I read the script, I was so impressed. And I could be wrong, I could be wrong, but I believe he’s an Alberta boy. The kid’s obviously a genius. He’s going to be a future major filmmaker because, the script is really good and I’m excited to work on it”.

Brandon is also developing a western series set in 1888 with vTV Now to be shot in and around Alberta and the cast so far consists of Kevin Davey (Hell On Wheels), Nathaniel Arcand (Heartland), Stan Houston (Selma, Superman vs Doomsday), and several other actors/actresses. Brandon says there will be over a dozen prime roles where all the characters will be developed and featured as the story-line progresses and he hopes the series has a long life and is well received. The production is also planning on having several Hollywood actors/actresses appear in guest roles and possibly recurring guest roles. Brandon and his production team have negotiated a deal for the John Scott ranch in Longview AB. and auditions for both these projects will be ongoing.

Brandon’s L.A. manager, Ron Sampson, is thrilled with Brandon’s wonderful achievements and is hopeful his L.A. and Canadian team will book dates for him on several U.S. and Canadian talk shows when the Brandon Watson Signature Card becomes available to the public. His team are all very proud and excited for all the great things that are happening in his career in 2016 and look forward to an even brighter 2017.

Calico is now available to watch on VOD On VTV.
