- If women wear miniskirts and too much make up, they are considered prostitutes;

- All Portuguese women have mustache (this is a saying that happens especially in small villages);

- Blonde women are dumb;

- Women should be housewives, take care of their children and their husbands;

- Women aren't able to do the same jobs as men, for example: police officer, taxi driver or truck driver, CEO of a company and other jobs that need physical strength;

- Only short women are considered beautiful ("women are like sardines: the smaller, the better" - Portuguese proverb);

- Pregnant women don't have the same opportunities as other women or men;

- Women don't like sports;

- Women must always be beautiful;

- Women shouldn't go out alone, especially at night;

- Women are awful drivers.

- Women are not strong enough physically, emotionally.

- Are too sensitive, emotional.

- Depend on a man.

- Her duty is to take care of the household and the family.

- Are dependent on affection and attention.

- They can not have jobs because they are specific to men.

Romania

As a second

activity we compared the prejudices and stereotypes in our countries. Although the boundaries are very wide, our stereotypes are very close.
