SAMPLING , ANALYSIS AND LAB ASSAY methods and compared for accuracy , precision and repeatability . Following confirmation of this initial work , Bureau Veritas commenced test work using samples from a key customer in Chile .
Bureau Veritas stated : “ After rigorous in-house testing of ColdBlock digestion technology , Bureau Veritas has ratified the effectiveness of these methods in improving sample throughput and reducing assay turnaround times , while maintaining the highest level of accuracy required for multi-element analysis . We are now excited to extend the benefits of this revolutionary technology to other mining and metallurgical customers in Latin America .
“ With this state-of-the-art technology , Bureau Veritas delivers faster assay results compared to traditional methods , without sacrificing accuracy , marking a significant milestone in the mining industry . This advancement represents a continued commitment to excellence and client satisfaction .”
The deployment of ColdBlock digestion equipment to Bureau Veritas ’ Chile lab network and customer mine site labs has now commenced .
Automating pXRF
Speaking of commercial labs , SGS recently unveiled Automated pXRF technology to , it says , further support its clients in unlocking futurefocused solutions .
Designed and developed by SGS and Evident Industrial ( formerly Olympus ’ Scientific Solutions Division ), this solution marks a significant leap forward from the conventional , manual XRF process or in-field pXRF service , SGS claims , providing a more stable and reliable environment that allows operators to load up to 20 sample trays .
This improves efficiency of the analysis , according to the company , with a design and capability that reduces turnaround time and analysis costs to expedite the delivery of insights for geological modelling .
