“ The award of this important fast-track contract is indicative of CBG ’ s recognition of TAKRAF ’ s capabilities and of our experienced specialists that we can make available right across our project management , engineering and field services ,” says Norbert Neumann , TAKRAF Germany : Sales Manager . “ Congratulations to the team on winning this project and to the team responsible for executing and managing Phase 1 , the success of which undoubtedly contributed to the continued trust this supportive client places in us .”
Following an Early Contractor Involvement ( ECI ) phase , an important contract for engineering and supply of a conveyor system for transport of 13,200 t / h of copper ore in Peru was recently awarded to TAKRAF . The contract also includes technical assistance during construction and commissioning . The belt conveyor system consists of a sacrificial conveyor and an overland conveyor . The latter features a negative lift of around 150 m , as well as including various horizontal and vertical belt curves along its length . Furthermore , a new loading module for an existing belt conveyor is also to be supplied .
TAKRAF ' s scope of supply includes all structural and mechanical components as well as essential electrical and instrumentation equipment . Commissioning is planned to be completed towards the middle of 2024 .
Marc Hollinger , TAKRAF Project Manager , had this to say recently on his return back from South America : “ Many colleagues contributed to this successful project award and there was great interaction between all the TAKRAF offices involved . I would like to personally thank all these colleagues for their commitment and teamwork . This important material handling project only serves to entrench TAKRAF as a leading global provider of high-capacity material handling systems that overcome numerous challenges and we look forward to an everexpanding base of satisfied clients in South America ." damage , punc-tures , repair damage and belt slits partially . The scrapers can be folded in and out using an electric linear drive .” It cites another highlight of the innovation as the newly developed STARCLEAN ® Cloud , with a user-friendly dashboard . “ This is where all the assembled data appear , such as km per operating hour , condition of the scrapers , and a wear dis-play . In addition to monitoring , the Cloud provides intervention in the system components . “ The Scraper Intelligence Module ( SIM ) is the heart of our STARCLEAN ® Smart Scraper , automatically controls the components , and passes the captured data to the Cloud . This allows monitoring of the whole process . The S3 sensor system recognises belt properties thanks to scrapers lying directly

The STARCLEAN ® Smart Scraper S3 is a new intelligent scraper from Schulte Strathaus that combines with its proven electric drive and smart modules to detect conveyor belt damage early and allow preventive repair of segments . This saves material resources and ensures the belt system ' s performance . “ This modern technology is based on advanced , touch-based scanning that allows analysis of the movement and surface structure of the belt to detect possible damage . It allows reaction before the production process is seriously im-paired . The following damage is easily detected : cover plate damage , connection
