Finally , the Martin ® Manufactured Canoe Liner will make its CONEXPO debut . This wear liner technology is made from durable urethane moulded around a rugged steel plate to absorb impact and abrasion from punishing bulk handling environments . “ The result is extended equipment life , longer periods of dust and spillage control , improved safety and less maintenance , reducing the overall cost of operation ,” Martin says .
DTH display
Mincon will be present in Las Vegas displaying its 2023 product line , including its nextgeneration range of DTH hammers for all applications – from blasthole drilling to largediameter foundation pile drilling .
Alongside its DTH hammer range , Mincon will showcase the latest successes achieved with its Spiral Flush geotechnical systems , which boast patented air-control features that allow for safe drilling in sensitive ground conditions or near existing structures , the company claims .
Entering the Quantum domain
Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems are a familiar presence in the mining and mineral processing industries , as well as in related materials handling applications , offering significant advantages over their electromechanical counterparts .
Those advantages continue to grow stronger , and the range of possibilities they create is set to expand , as will be made clear at CONEXPO .
The company explained : “ In many ways , mining applications are an ideal showcase for hydraulic drive strengths . Few other industries expose drive systems to such harsh and unpredictable conditions – or demand as much control over torque and speed . Hägglunds drive systems take both challenges in their stride , allowing mines to secure equipment uptime and significantly boost their productivity .”
With the launch of the Quantum motor range at CONEXPO , Hägglunds ’ drive systems are set to expand to even more applications
Protected from dust and grit by their closed design , Hägglunds drive systems also withstand shock loads without over-dimensioning . Their built-in pressure limiting mitigates unexpected torque peaks , which reduces the maintenance burden and prolongs the life of bearings , belts and chains . At the same time , the drives can supply and sustain an unprecedented amount of output torque for their size , giving operators full-torque capabilities from zero to maximum speed .
In practice , this means Hägglunds drives can start up , hold or reverse in loaded condition without any risk of overheating , the company says . Since no gears are involved , they provide instant response and an infinite number of speeds to work with throughout their range . In combination , these features let miners adapt to ore characteristics , optimise feed rates or move equipment along for inspection .
“ What makes Hägglunds drive systems still more remarkable is their high flexibility ,” the company said . “ The hydraulic motors themselves are compact and lightweight , and no foundations or gearboxes are needed . On a bucketwheel reclaimer , for example , the hightorque motor can be located on the wheel shaft while the drive unit is placed off the boom , allowing for a lighter construction with less counterweight .”
Soon that flexibility will extend to an even wider range of applications – mobile as well as stationary – reducing size and weight further while expanding performance capabilities . This will come under the Hägglunds Quantum motor range , to be revealed at CONEXPO .

Eriez drawing attention
Eriez plans to showcase several new and improved offerings at CONEXPO including its Suspended Permanent Magnet line . The CP-20 and TP-25 Suspended Magnets , which have been successfully used in the

recycling and aggregates industries in Europe for years , are now available in North America . These models replace the company ’ s previous SP-6000 Magnets and provide a better price point , expedited delivery options and the same high performance , according to the company .
Separation and Recycling Product Manager , Chris Ramsdell , says the self-cleaning versions of both the CP-20 and TP-25 Series Magnets are available with either a standard electric drive or a hydraulic drive . He added : “ The addition of instock hydraulic drive magnets will allow us to better serve the mobile crusher and mobile equipment markets .”
The CP-20 and TP-25 Series Magnets are also now part of Eriez ’ Quick Ship Program , providing delivery to satisfy customers ’ most urgent needs .
CP-20 Series Magnets use a single-pole permanent magnet circuit to provide a uniform field across the feed belt to optimise separation efficiency of damaging tramp iron , the company says . These suspended magnets have a maximum suspension height of 10 in ( 254 mm ) and are available in both manual and selfcleaning configurations .
TP-25 Series Magnets use a twin-pole permanent magnet circuit to provide maximum ferrous removal at higher suspension heights . The twin-pole magnetic circuit used by the TP Series Magnets allows for horizontal lift of longer ferrous objects , such as rebar or wire . This results in improved ferrous removal and longer life for the self-cleaning belt . They have a maximum suspension height of 12 in ( 305 mm ) and are also available in both manual and selfcleaning configurations .
Again , both have applications in mining , able to remove tramp iron ahead of causing problems in the processing plant .
In addition to the Eriez ’ CP-20 Series Magnets and TP-25 Series Magnets , the company ’ s CONEXPO display would also feature an HVF Feeder , Suspended Electromagnet and AIP Magnetic Pulley .
