Barcelona-based MTG is looking to cause a splash in Las Vegas with the US debut of two new ground engaging tools ( GET ) and a showcase of its first Digital Solutions offering .
The company plans to display its VEEMET GET at the show , a versatile system for excavators and loaders of between 20 and 250 t equipped with plate lip buckets .
As the successor to the STARMET system , VEEMET has been optimised for increased performance and user-friendliness , according to MTG . It offers improved stability due to its V- shaped fitting , which provides more resistance against torsional loads .
VEEMET also features an optimised locking option for quick and easy assembly / disassembly ; reinforced pins ; and a slim tooth design for enhanced penetration and increased machine efficiency , MTG says .
The wide range of self-sharpening teeth and plate lip adapter designs are suitable for any construction , quarrying and mining application , providing a better digging performance , it says .
The COMET will also be on show , a GET system for small construction machines .
On the Digital Solutions front , there will be an interactive display to highlight the benefits of using MTG ’ s GET DETECTION system .
Based on extensive laboratory bench testing and field tests , the company can state its solution detects a possible GET detachment in less than three seconds , with a very high level of reliability , preventing a subsequent fall into the crusher .
The GET DETECTION series includes a suite of devices that are compatible with MTG ’ s TERRA cast lips , the TWINMET and new VEEMET tooth systems as well as the PROMET shrouds . The GET design of these product families enables the addition of sensors and activators to allow digital monitoring of the entire cast lip configuration .

DETECTION follows successful field tests in Europe and Australia , where the system – made up of magnetic field sensors and actuators integrated in the corresponding GET components , antennas , ECUs and an operator tablet – was able to show its ability to improve operational safety and avoid unplanned downtime , MTG said .
Superior showcases enhanced TeleStacker
US-based bulk material processing and handling systems specialist , Superior Industries Inc , is planning to showcase more than 250 tons ( 227 t ) of products at CONEXPO , with at least eight of these representing brand new launches .
Included among this new product offering is an expanded cone crusher portfolio , with two brandnew cone models introduced and shown alongside Superior ’ s Patriot ® Bushing Cone .
Superior explained : “ First , the Dakota™ Bearing Cone , which will earn credibility for its efficient use of horsepower per tonne , a straightforward lubrication system , and a wide range of liner profiles . The other new cone crusher will be called the Endeavor™ Spider Bushing Cone . Operationally , it ’ s an uncomplicated design that accepts a wide range of feed sizes with an adjustable stroke for fine tuning .”
Superior also plans to display its Liberty ® Jaw , Valor ® VSI and Sentry ® HSI crushers . In addition , a new quick-to-erect modular wash plant is expected to be shown off to an audience for the first time .
The 2023 show will mark the eighth time Superior has displayed its famed TeleStacker ® Conveyor at CONEXPO – and each show there is new technology to showcase and new success stories to share .
With radial travel , variable height and a telescopic conveyor , TeleStacker Conveyors stockpile material in a way that overcomes material segregation , according to the company . This show , Superior will display a 42 in ( 1.06 m ) x 170 ft ( 52 m ) XTP Swing Axle model with a working automation panel that visitors can interact with in the booth .
Optimising conveyor performance
Martin Engineering will be on hand at CONEXPO to highlight how bulk material handling operators can achieve cleaner , safer and more productive operations .
Effective conveyor belt cleaning is essential to safe , efficient operation , and Martin Engineering will showcase a broad range of primary and secondary models to suit virtually any application at the show . This will include its urethane belt cleaners – designed with the company ’ s patented Constant-Area Radial Pressure technology to deliver consistent cleaning throughout all stages of blade life – in addition to its CleanScrape ® Cleaner , a technology that , Martin says , delivers outstanding cleaning performance while virtually eliminating tensioning and maintenance after initial installation .
On the material build-up front , Martin Air Cannons will be displayed . These promote the consistent movement of bulk materials , helping to prevent poor flow and blockages that can put a stranglehold on a plant ’ s profitability . And the intuitive Martin N2 ® Position Indicator , which monitors urethane belt cleaner blades , is also in the show line-up . This solution notifies Martin service technicians and plant operations personnel when re-tensioning or replacement is required and / or when abnormal conditions occur .
In terms of conveyor belt alignment , Martin ’ s line of Modern Belt Support Systems will be on show . These systems are designed to retain a smooth belt path with minimal bumping or disruption of settled cargo , avoiding gaps in the loading zone and minimising belt sag along the length of the system .
