Vegas calling

The construction market is heading to Las Vegas for one of the industry ’ s major gatherings . Dan Gleeson examines some of the mining-related fare to look out for

CONEXPO-CON / AGG is not a show to bed in a pair of new shoes . With 1,800 exhibitors spread over 260,129 sq . m of exhibitor space in Las Vegas , the event is sprawling , covering the entirety of equipment solutions for your typical construction site .

The mining equipment overlap is vast , with many of the solutions on show from March 14-18 having a potential application for larger sites .
The organisers confirmed in December that all available exhibit space was sold out , guaranteeing the 2023 edition of the show will be the biggest in its history .
CONEXPO-CON / AGG Show Director , Dana Wuesthoff , explained : “ The addition of the new West Hall and Diamond Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center gave us , and our exhibitors , a number of new opportunities to show how we are taking the construction industry to the next level . Now at 2.8 million square feet ( 260,129 sq . m ) of exhibits , there ’ s more for construction pros to see than ever before .” showcasing the machines and services that will help our customers succeed in a fast-changing industry that ’ s increasingly focused on sustainability .”
Attendees can expect to see the latest on the industry ’ s leading line-up of electric construction equipment , as well as more opportunities to hop in and operate machines than ever before , according to the company .
The first North American deliveries of the ECR25 Electric compact excavator and L25 Electric compact wheel loader have recently taken place , while three additional models were recently opened to reservations for delivery in 2023 , Volvo CE said . These developments make
