Robit bi t innovation ns

Finland’ s Robit has been innovating again with its rock bit technology, on both the top

Fhammer and DTH sides of the market. In top hammer, its Robit ® Mbit- Male Bit button bit series, it says, delivers significantly enhanced drilling performance compared to traditional bit designs.

The Robit Mbit- Male Bit thread is not subjected to stress when the impact is directed at the shoulder, so that there is no dynamic stress on thread, translating into a longer lifetime as well as easy coupling & uncoupling. The Male thread is acting as a connection device; and the same thread is used for all bit diameters and bit options – savings on consumable parts and stocking.
The design includes an inclined( patent pending) impact shoulder for centralising the impact surface. This results in longer lifetime – up to 25 % – as the thread will not wear and the reversal guide tube OD is 82 mm. It also means more efficient and even

In a major development for Hitachi Construction Machinery( HCM) in Brazil; the global OEM has deployed the 221 t payload EH4000AC-3 diesel-electric mining truck and 260 t( 19.5 m 3 bucket) EX2600-7 mining excavator at Anglo American’ s Minas Rio iron ore mining operation in the state of Minas Gerais.

This is significant as this is the first Hitachi mining dump truck to operate in Brazil. Marubeni Brasil, the HCM dealer, sold the machines to R & D Mineração & Construção Ltda, a contractor, and R & D has operated them since 2024, based on the contract it signed with Anglo American.
HCM estimates that Latin America accounts for 23 % of the world’ s demand for rigid dump trucks and 9 % of the demand for super-large hydraulic excavators, due to the abundance of mineral resource mining in that market, including copper, iron ore, and gold. Many of Hitachi Construction Machinery’ s super-large hydraulic excavators are in operation in Brazil.
In addition to the increase in new machinery sales, the parts and service business is expected to expand based on the volume of new machinery delivered to date.
HCM is taking major steps to strengthen its business structure in Latin America. ZAMine Brasil, a sales and service company of mining equipment for Hitachi Construction Machinery, held an opening ceremony on March 12 to celebrate starting its operations. The design Robit says also offers 15 % faster penetration. Robit also claims the market’ s most superior hole straightness – up to 30 % – when using a Reversable Guide Tube together with a Conversion Rod. They can be swapped 180 ° during the drilling process meaning more metres to be drilled. A Reversable Guide Tube guarantees minimum double the lifetime and safeguards the rest of the drill string. Multiple bit sizes and versions can be drilled with only

ZAMine
Brasil will begin full-scale operations in March 2025 to expand the mining business in the Brazilian market by combining the Marubeni
’ s business management know-how and extensive customer network in Brazil, developedd over many years, with Hitachi Construction Machinery’ s high-quality maintenance and services programs provided.
Kotaro Hirano, HCM Representative Executive Officer, Chairman and Executive Officer, and CEO, commented:“ Brazil is one of world’ s largest producer of iron ore, and a market with great potential to expand our mining business. The market demand these days is to reduce emissions, and I am
one unique Male-Thread( S57
) which secures easy coupling and uncoupling into the drill string. So no threads are stuck. Finally, there is a reduction of fuel consumption n through the efficient flushing properties and drilling speed of the Robit. Mbit- Male Bit and savings in CO 2 throughout the total drill & blast process.
On the DTH side, Robit has announced the Robit H18, a new member of the H-series down- the-hole( DTH) hammer family
. The hammer follows the same principles as have been seen in previous H series product launches, combining modularity with performance, the company says.
Key features of the
Robit H18 hammer highlighted by Robit include an up to 25 % increase in power output; up to 25 % lower air consumption; footvalved and footvalvess designs are available; and there is the ability to tune the hammer for smaller air package.

confident that our fuel-efficient excavators, dump trucks with trolley system and others we supply worldwide will be welll received by Brazilian mining customers. We need the cooperation of each and every team member so that we can commit to establishing a strong position in the Brazilian mining market.”
In addition, Hitachi Constru
uction Machinery plans to establish Hitachi Construction Machinery Latin America on April 1, 2025, located in Chile as a new regional headquarters in Latin America. Overall, HCM aims to achieve sales revenue of JPY100 billion in Latin America by FY2030 through the restructuring of its business in the region – this equates to over US $ 670 million. https:// www. hitachicm. com / global / en /
