One example of this type of planning comes from Knight Hawk Coal ’ s Prairie Eagle mine , in the Illinois Basin of USA , where drone-based imagery and software was used to generate 3D models from 2D views , ie digital terrain models , allowing stockpile designs to be generated for the brownfield development .
Such planning led to BEUMER installing an overland conveyor that transports the coal from the mine to the main processing plant . It features a single-flight curved conveying system that eliminates the cost of tower steel , and greatly reduces the quantity of components and necessary spare parts , according to the company . It also reduces the dust , noise , maintenance and operating costs associated with the transfer points .
BEUMER Group also provides belt and central chain bucket elevators for safe and economic vertical transport of all powders and smallsized bulk materials , eg raw meal , cement , grits , sand or concentrated ores .

For storage yards for special material blending the BEUMER Group installs stackers and reclaimers . These stack the bulk material and guarantee a maximum blending effect . To ensure efficient loading , BEUMER Group supplies ship loaders . They consist of a fixed boom with an extendable telescopic belt conveyor . This allows ships to be filled efficiently . The systems are also equipped with a de-dusting unit which keeps the process emission-free . BEUMER Group also manufactures loading heads for fast and dustfree loading of bulk materials into silo vehicles . Their double-walled design separates the dedusting system from the material inlet . BEUMER Group has developed mobile loading units that can be adapted to the length of the vehicle . It also offers various telescopic systems for loading open vehicles without generating dust .
