All the major mining companies have made concrete pledges to slash their emissions by 2030 and beyond . This is where in-pit crushing and conveying ( IPCC ) – which includes everything from semi-mobile and fully-mobile crushing stations , and incorporates gyratories and sizers , linked pit ramp conveyors and high angle conveyors , to waste and filtered tailings disposal systems leveraging mobile conveyors – could come in .
Traditionally many IPCC projects ended at the study level due to concerns surrounding the initial costs . Today , miners are facing just as many cost considerations associated with switching to zero emissions mobile haulage such as battery-electric trucks or a reconsideration of trolley assist . IPCC is both autonomous and electric with low maintenance requirements , so is diesel-free and suits mines of the future managed from Remote Operations Centres .
IPCC is , arguably , the most direct and fastest route today to green mining , so this event cannot be missed !
