Monaflex expands on-line training
The Monaflex OTR Custom System is the super tough , yet lightweight customisable system for the repair of all OTR tyres on the market today . Monaflex pioneered the use of inflatable pressure bags to provide faithful conformity to the unusual contours of a tyre . The result is a perfectly moulded repair that it says is the strongest in the industry . From this innovation Monaflex developed a light weight yet tough system that can manage the vulcanisation of repairs in all tyre sizes . With a global footprint encompassing over 100 countries , visits to client operations and on-site training courses have always been an integral element of the Monaflex customer care program . COVID-19 related restrictions on international travel have prompted Monaflex to re-evaluate how it maintains a first-class customer experience . EARTHMAX SR 468 is the special tread design and the compound , created to limit the heat generated , BKT said . The E-4 depth of the tread provides extreme resistance in highly challenging conditions .
Titan expands STL3 tyre line to seven sizes
Titan International has expanded its STL3 tyre line to include a total of seven tyre sizes . The new 875 / 65R29 size is in high demand for articulated dump trucks , wheel loaders and scrapers used in construction , mining and quarry applications .
“ The Titan STL3 has been our top-performing radial tyre for wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks for years ,” said Matt Miller , Tire Technology Manager , R & D at Titan . “ Our customers have been asking for it in this new size to support a wider range of equipment models , as well as to overcome some of the challenges they ’ re having with competitive tires in this size , which include lack of availability and rim slip that causes bead chafing which can lead to air loss .”
The dual-taper bead design and extra-wide steel bead on the STL3 give it high resistance to rim indexing . With its E-3 / L-3 non-directional tread pattern and centre-riding rib , the STL3 also provides excellent traction , a smooth ride and a long life . Its full-width shoulder lug provides lateral stability . Available in cut-resistant and wear-resistant compounds , it ’ s suitable for a range of conditions .
With this line expansion , the STL3 family now includes seven sizes for a range of applications . The 875 / 65R29 joins the 750 / 65R25 and 26.5R25 sizes with wear-resistance compounds , along with four additional sizes offered with cutresistant compounds – 20.5R25 , 23.5R25 , 26.5R25 and 29.5R25 .
Titan has also introduced the industry ’ s highest ply ratings for two of its existing OTR product lines — the Titan CM100 and the Titan CM150 . This higher ply rating allows for carrying significantly heavier loads , and doing so with greater durability and a longer life .
The CM100 and CM150 were engineered to withstand the toughest conditions and highest weight load requirements .
“ We ’ ve had a long history serving these markets in which the tyres are put through the harshest applications ,” said Miller . “ We listened to our customers and decided to take these two proven lines to the next level by offering the industry ’ s highest ply ratings and making them dual-rated for even longer performance in tough conditions .”
