Tire specifically focuses on the mining segment , told IM it can now bring the complete series of rigid haul truck tyres to the market . With a dedicated team focused on offering full support for the open pit mining product range , MMG offers various tyre sizes to fit trucks up to 400 tons . The 57 in line has been expanded and MAXAM is currently growing its 63 in line .
The recent introduction of its first-ever 63 in tyre , the MS453 , marked an important milestone for the group . Aimed to handle the most severe challenges on haul roads , the MS453 features an aggressive tread design and reinforced sidewall . Manufactured using a proprietary , two-stage method that involves improved placement of the belt and tread package on the casing , the MS453 is produced at the highest standard . The MS453 has undergone extensive testing at mine sites in Nevada , US , and the company says it has surpassed customer expectations .

BKT builds on EARTHMAX range again
Last year , BKT ’ s range of over 2,700 tyres expanded again . The latest is EARTHMAX SR 412 , designed to equip articulated dump trucks , loaders and dozers . “ Excellent stability and resistance to damaging attacks are the main qualities which distinguish this new tyre . The robust casing and the all steel belts let EARTHMAX SR 412 transport heavy loads while avoiding tears and punctures .” The tread has a unique design with an E-4 depth , guaranteeing exceptional traction and high heat resistance , while the square shoulder ensures EARTHMAX SR 412 has a solid grip on the ground , which gives the vehicle greater control and manoeuverability . IM : “ Its peculiarity is : since it is a wide-base tyre it is particularly designed for articulated dump trucks used in environments where it is difficult to use rigid dump trucks since the routes or bends are very tight , for example .”
