Pressure relief tee step by step operation The operation of the pressure relief tee is shown in the attached sequence: 1 Both nuts are undone 3 Joints shown as Victaulic, other joint types available Smooth consistent internal bore Fully welded construction Nut is retained by shoulder 5 2 Plug part is semi-captive Tool pass through slot Simple removal of polycarbonate windows by single bolt Conclusion Although there is a place in a paste pipeline for automated valves and cleanout tees it is proposed that this device fits a specialty niche between those two extremes and offers a superior pressure relief capability than cleanout tees or blasting tees, while doing so at a much lower cost than an automated valve. We believe that these devices should be installed at approximately every 300 m spacing in a paste backfill line to ensure that a safe and reliable depressurisation option is available throughout the pipeline.
