Even more, Ultra Repair restores an ultra-class tyre’s original strength and integrity, giving it like-new performance.” Dan Allan told IM: “Whereever we have customers using ultra large tyres, there exists an opportunity to take some large injuries out of the scrap pile and turn them into usable product. We have had an initiative where we have certified operations across our Kal Tire network as capable of providing this Ultra Repair service. It does take a solid understanding of the process, some education, some equipment, and ensuring we have standards in place. We have seen a definite increase in South Africa, and in Australia of late in the area of customer Ultra Repairs.” TPMS trends in the market There is no doubt that TPMS has gone from a technology being used at a few larger mines to one that is now used as standard across most major operations. Kal Tire’s Dan Allan states on current TPMS usage: “The TPMS offering is constantly developing. There are many great companies out there leveraging and investing in technology to make these offerings more than they were even five years ago. We continue to use and install our TTT TPMS systems with success. However, we are also keen to work with customers to ensure we get the right product for the right need.
