deployment will enable in-vehicle video, vehicle
telematics, and two-way communications all
powered by Redline's iLTE™ line of eNodeB and
EPC core software.”
Redline says it was chosen for this project
based on its ability to provide a complete turnkey
solution including end user equipment,
eNodeB’s, microwave backhaul, EPC core, design,
implementation and support services. “Redline's
LTE IoT solution offers maximum coverage and
superior scalability with the benefit of being a
standards-based technology offering mobility
and high-performance communications. Built on
a foundation of high-security and reliability,
Redline's easy to deploy products are compact,
boast low-power consumption and are designed
for harsh environments, making them a perfect fit
for customers across industries wishing to deploy
private LTE networks.”
“Redline was selected for this mining project
because of our ability to help convert the
customer's forward thinking IoT strategy into
reality. Our simple to deploy LTE solution will
enhance the productivity and safety of their
operations,” said Redline CEO, Robert Williams.
"Last year we initiated a program of field trials of
our LTE offering to demonstrate its effectiveness
in meeting the demands of robust LTE solutions
in a variety of different applications. These trials
are proving successful and we are seeing
increasing interest from new customers." Redline
expects the majority of this project to roll out in
the second half of this year.
Collaborations and mergers
Rajant and Mitsui USA, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Mitsui in Japan, in April announced that they will
jointly develop and market Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh™
wireless networks, and extensive information
assurance and security expertise to solve the
advanced communications challenges of IIoT
(Industrial Internet of Things), drones, V2V (vehicle
to vehicle), and other autonomous applications.
“With its mission to help companies evolve
and achieve their strategic goals, Mitsui USA
plans to connect Rajant with companies desiring
to streamline operations, increase revenue, and
achieve real-time intelligence for better corporate
decision-making. Optimising network
infrastructures is a key requirement toward
realising these objectives.”
“We’re looking forward to leveraging the IIoT
expertise and deep experience in information
assurance and security of Rajant to meet the
needs of existing and new markets,” said Kiichiro
Takanami, SVP, IT & Communication Business
Division at Mitsui USA. “Rajant’s InstaMesh ®
networking software and sophisticated military-
grade security and cryptography will have a
significantly favourable impact on organisations
trying to capitalise on autonomous applications.”
“Mitsui will help Rajant penetrate Mitsui’s
global base as well as
introduce us to new
sectors that have yet to
