The vibrating STM-SCREEN proposed was designed with two polyurethane decks and a light misting function on the bottom deck for dust suppression. The polyurethane decks allowed rocks that traditionally were easily trapped to wriggle free and not clog the screen. The polyurethane is produced in tiles to allow for easy replacement of damaged segments without replacement of the entire screen section.“ The Two-Mass system allows for the entire screen to handle seven times as much force and capacity as competitive brute force machines,” GK reports.
“ The increased capacity for the Two-Mass system and the durability of the polyurethane screen will be able to run the high capacity and abrasive material with ease and offered a better screening process that yielded increased product quality and consistency.”
Two-Mass refers to a style of vibratory equipment where one mass( an exciter) is used to drive a second mass( trough). The exciter mass
typically contains a motor and is connected to a trough using a combination of springs. Combining the two masses and the springs, a responsive sub-resonant system is created which responds to changes in load without dampening performance.
GK say its Two-Mass system“ requires up to two-thirds less horsepower to achieve the same amount of work as a single mass( brute force) system. This reduction in horsepower significantly reduces energy consumption and related electrical costs. Two-Mass equipment is also more cost effective to maintain, as belts, large motors, and bearings are eliminated.”

Gold miners around the world have had to deal with gold recovery and loss issues for hundreds of years. GoldHog says that by reducing the turbulence in the sluice most operations can increase their capture rates greatly, especially on fine gold. The company works with commercial gold miners around the world and this issue is present everywhere, but is extensive in places like Africa and South America where silts and clays create a heavy mud. In these areas traditional sluices can lose up to 70 % of the fine gold, which has been measured.“ We have seen massive losses of fine gold in commercial ops running thick slurries and they usually don’ t have a choice.
