Over the past two decades our team of engineers have developed advanced lining technology for ultra-heavy duty applications, to withstand the demands of high volume abrasive materials,” states Switzer. Weir Minerals is set to redefine hydrocyclone efficiency again with the development of the new Synertrex® monitoring system. The latest technology in remote monitoring systems allows users to obtain operational data in real time, to ensure optimum performance and efficiency of their mill circuit. Today, there are more than 26,000 Cavex hydrocyclones operating throughout the globe, making up more than a quarter of world market share. Every single one of these hydrocyclones is backed by the extensive Weir Minerals service team. Diemme Filtration, a well known manufacturer of filter press technology, will be exhibiting under new ownership, Aqseptence Group. The Aqseptence Group comprises companies from the former Bilfinger Water Technologies Group providing global experience and competences in water treatment and separation technologies. Diemme Filtration will showcase its new GHT2500F filter press for concentrate and tailings dewatering applications. Specifically designed for large throughput applications, the GHT2500F 54 International Mining | SEPTEMBER 2016 provides up to 956 m2 of filtration area with 2.5 x 2.5 m filter plates in a ‘fast’ discharge arrangement. With typical copper tailings, for example, this translates to approximately 285 t/h of dry filter cake. The Diemme Filtration 2.5 m x 2.5 m filter plate has been developed using modern design and analysis tools such as CFD in order to improve dewatering efficiency. As a result, very low residual filter cake moistures are easily achieved. Filter cakes are able to dewater to 15% moisture very rapidly. With the addition of membrane squeezing and/or cake air blow, even drier cakes can be achieved. Another significant breakthrough that Diemme is releasing is ‘clothless’. filter technology. Although not being displayed at MINExpo, visitors can learn more about this new technology at MINExpo. The company says “the new technology is a potential game changer, revolutionising the modern filter press system to be more reliable and efficient by improving online time and reducing operating costs.” TOMRA Sorting’s mining experts will be available to explain the key advantages sensorbased sorting can bring to mining operations. Although it is a relatively new technology in mining, sensor-based sorting has the potential to address some of the major challenges the industry now faces: declining ore grades,
