methods are self-evident . MMD ’ s innovative technology is at the forefront of this revolution .”
For example , the patented MMD Twin Shaft Mineral Sizer™ has the ability to process both wet sticky material and hard dry rock or a combination of both through the same machine . At the booth , visitors can get up close to both 500 and 1150 Series Sizers , alongside a heavy duty D4 Apron Plate Feeder , designed to provide a regulated feed of material into the sizing plant . This feeder is specifically engineered to handle the undefined impact forces from direct loading , with apron plates cleverly designed to reduce fines and spillage .
Attendees can learn more about the sizer ’ s unique three-stage breaking action and patented scroll formation , as well as the latest advances in IPSC technology – all available at a touch via the MMD interactive iPad App . For instance , the Fully Mobile Sizer , perfected in China , can process 9,000 t / h of overburden , with peaks of 14,000 t / h demonstrated . Since commencing operation in 2013 , the rig has generated significant interest . At MINExpo , visitors can view the latest aerial footage of the Mobile Sizer operating at full capacity .
MINExpo 2016 will witness Weir Minerals ’ launch of the Trio ® TP900 cone crusher . Part of the Trio ® TP series of crushers launched globally earlier this year . The Trio ® TP900 cone crusher operates at a higher pivot point and thrower than its predecessor , providing higher reduction with better shaped material .
“ The Trio TP900 cone crusher is a clear demonstration of our advancement in cone crusher design ,” states Kurt O ’ Bryan , Global Product Manager for Crushing and Screening at Weir Minerals . “ The TrioTP series cone crushers are all high capacity machines with advanced performance features in hydraulics , automation and head motion . The goal of

these new machines is to apply a robust and reliable design to a versatile range of applications .”
In addition to this new product launch , Weir Minerals will introduce new technology featured in the imminent Trio ® TP1400 cone crusher . This advanced technology will be presented to visitors through a futuristic hologram , providing visitors with a virtual , 360 ° preview of this innovative technology .
“ This exciting technology provides a glimpse into the future of large , high capacity cone crushers ,” says O ’ Bryan .
Visitors will also see a pre-release preview of its latest technology in remote monitoring systems . This new technology allows users to obtain operational data in real time , ensuring optimum performance and efficiency of mill circuits .
Weir Minerals engineering experts will showcase the capabilities of Warman ® slurry pumps , the market leader in slurry pumping technology . The booth will feature a variety of Warman slurry pumps including mill circuit pumps , submersible pumps , and the latest pumping technology .
“ The strength of our Warman slurry pump range lies in the superiority of our advanced hydraulic designs and our high performing wear and corrosion resistant materials ,” states John Otten , Global Product Manager for pumps at Weir Minerals .
The booth will display the Warman MC650 mill circuit duty slurry pump , incorporating the latest in hard alloy and elastomer technology , proven to extend wear life in highly abrasive and corrosive slurries .
“ MC pump hydraulics are based on more than 25 years of fundamental and applied research and are backed up by wear performance field trials . The unique design and wear evaluation
software ensures high efficiency and optimum life ,” says Otten .
There will be an animation of the new features and functionality contained within the hydraulic concept of the Warman WRT ® impeller and throatbush combination . This is designed to greatly improve wear performance of the Warman AH ® pump and reduce operators ’ total cost of ownership .
Weir Minerals will also feature other key products widely used in the industry during this three day event . These include Enduron ® high pressure grinding rolls , GEHO ® pumps , Delta Industrial™ knife gate valves , Cavex ® hydrocyclones , Linatex ® premium rubber and many more .
Ricardo Garib , Divisional Managing Director of Weir Minerals : “ Over the last four years , we have invested heavily in product development and expansion , providing a more complete solution across the mill circuit . We are very excited about showcasing our latest products at MINExpo and sharing our technological advancements with visitors .”
August marked the 20 year anniversary of one of Weir Minerals ’ most iconic brands – the Cavex ® hydrocyclone . “ When the first Cavex hydrocyclone was introduced , the industry was changed forever ,” says Debra Switzer , Weir Minerals Global Product Manager for Cavex hydrocyclones .
In 1996 , a team of engineers from Warman International in Australia got together to develop the ‘ next big thing ’ in hydrocyclones . What they came up with was revolutionary .
The truly unique inlet geometry removed all sharp angles from the feed chamber , allowing slurry to move through the hydrocyclone smoothly , which greatly reduced wear while increasing its efficiency . The new generation of hydrocyclones easily delivered up to three times the wear life of the old technology .
The streamline feed chamber is still in use today . When Weir Group acquired Warman International in 1999 , it brought with it a myriad of improvements and modifications designed to ensure Cavex hydrocyclones provide excellent wear life along with maximum productivity , regardless of the application .
In 2010 , Weir Group acquired Linatex , which brought with it a range of highly specialised dewatering hydrocyclones and superior rubber products for lining . This was significant for Cavex because it enhanced the portfolio and improved the hydrocyclone wear rates .
Last year , Weir Minerals introduced the Cavex 700CVX hydrocyclone , designed specifically to meet the demands of customers and which has been proven to achieve up to 50 % higher throughput capacity than other competitor cyclones in the 26 in diameter range due to its
