Both the TA300 and TA400 version were launched for the US market in September 2016 having been built at the factory in July. Being part of Volvo means that while Terex Trucks continues to do all of the design work for its machines, Volvo is also there to offer development assistance. Generation 10 changes include an improved environment for the operator with a much improved HVAC, such as having airflow directly onto the driver. The cab sealing is improved and the cab itself offering pressurised properties; making it much easier to control the operator environment and keep dust out. The new TA400 cushioned steering has also been applied to improve operator comfort and control. In engine terms, Generation 10 is also the Terex Trucks entry point for Stage IV engines in Europe (DC13 Scania in case of TA400); whereas in North America Generation 9 machines already came with a Tier 4 Final engine. Despite Volvo making its own engines, Terex Trucks has maintained its relationship with Scania for ADTs, with which it has worked closely across the range. The Scania engines achieve the Stage IV emissions levels purely with SCR/EGR technology with no DPF. The TA400 also features a new dropbox/transfer box to improve performance and reliability; while both the TA300 and TA400 Generation 10 models feature enhanced security for hydraulic systems using magnetic suction filters, ensuring no particulate contamination; and improved over-pivot routing of hydraulic hosing.
