Amber Reynolds , OTDS-II is a student at Midwestern University in Downers Grove , Illinois . Her clinical interests include working with wounded veterans , school-based practice and advocating and decreasing barriers for marginalized populations . She has also been involved in research regarding teaching practices of healthcare faculty in student preparedness to serve people experiencing homelessness . Her passion for OT started when she received services herself when she was younger . She is currently interested in becoming an occupational therapist in the United States Navy .

Emily K . Simpson is a Professor of research , occupational justice , and psychosocial practice at Midwestern University . Her research interests include life skills interventions for LGBTQ + young people experiencing homelessness and addiction in healthcare providers . Her clinical practice experience is in community mental health .
