Rhonda Guzman , MA , OTR / L , CVW , CDP

Rhonda Guzman , MA , OTR / L , CVW , CDP is an occupational therapist , gerontologist , and rehabilitation executive with expertise in program development dementia care and clinical education . Rhonda currently manages a large rehabilitation team in an assisted living / memory care community and acts as a site mentor for OTD students . She also has a private consulting business that supports individuals living with dementia , their families , and caregivers . Other positions Rhonda has held include corporate director of memory care and programming , director of strategic initiatives and vice president of operations . She has prior publications in Communique , and has presented at AOTA , ILOTA and at the Ohio Assisted Living Association on a variety of topics . Rhonda is a certified Validation Worker , Dementia Capable Care certified instructor and a certified dementia practitioner . She currently serves as the ILOTA SIS co-chair Gerontology .

Amanda Conway , OTD , OTR / L

I am Amanda Conway , a graduate of Midwestern University and a newly certified Occupational Therapist . I have always had a passion for working with the older adult population . Having the opportunity to complete my doctoral capstone project at an assisted living facility was an invaluable experience to connect with residents and foster my growth as a new OT . I cannot wait to jump into this amazing field !
