About the Authors
Theresa Christopher, OTS-II is an OT Doctoral student
at Midwestern University. Her clinical areas of interest are
geriatrics and upper extremity rehabilitation.
Lisa Knecht-Sabres, DHS, OTR/L is a Professor in the
Occupational Therapy Program at Midwestern University.
Her area of clinical expertise have primarily focused on
enhancing occupational performance for older adults.

ILOTA is looking for members who want to assist at conference this year, which will be in Tinley Park
October 4-5, 2019. Listed below are volunteer opportunities for OT/OTA practitoners and students
during the ILOTA conference:
• Room Monitors: Give out participation stickers and take headcount of participants in specific
rooms.
• Registration Table: Help check people in at conference and hand out goodies upon arrival.
• Fundraising Table: Sell raffle tickets for PAC scholarship fund for future scholars.
• Stuffing Name tags and bags prior to opening day.
