Angeles Chicano bands. The chapter
begins with a duck-and-cover escape from
a hostile Public Image Ltd. crowd and con-
cludes with the new-found commercial
success found in the wake of the hit single
“La Bamba” that allowed an album of
Mexican songs (La Pistola y el Corazon) to
become a Grammy-winning fan favorite.
