t RANGER STUDIOS in Franklin
Park, heavy rockers The Crypt
locked out several days of studio
time to perfect new demos and their live set,
while pop rock vets Kevin Lee & The
Kings, and prog-rockers The Lunar Chiefs
showcased on the mainstage.
Also at Ranger they'll soon stream all
stage events on Facebook for music fans
who can’t make it to their soundstage.
At GRAVITY STUDIOS in Chicago pro-
ducer Mike Tholen (Buddy Guy, Magic
Slim, Ministry) tracked drums with Matt
Walker (Morrissey, Filter, Smashing
Pumpkins) on Donnie Vie’s (ex Enuff
Z'Nuff) new project. "Trouble Maker" is
Vie's new single featuring Erik Donner (ex-
Enuff Z'Nuff), Johnny Monaco (ex-Enuff
Z'Nuff) and Vie.
Batteries Not Included (BNI Chicago
2018) is recording a full length album with
Graham Walker (Elvis Brothers) mixing and
producing at Graham's studio 4920 in Schiller
Park.
At CHICAGO RECORDING COMPANY,
jazz legend Ramsey Lewis tracked in Studio 4.
The session was engineered by Danny Leake,
and assisted by Jim Caroll.
