With the death of one of their main producers and patrons, Sean McKeough late last year, founder Mike Petryshyn wisely pulled back on the massive scale of the festival operation this year – temporarily canceling the Denver edition of Riot Fest while their team regrouped from a loss to the family.
Denver ' s loss is Chicago ' s gain in 2017 as Misfits original vocalist Glenn Danzig will reunite his band for the only time this year. Also appearing will be post-punk / EDM pioneers New Order, along with Paramore, Prophets of Rage, M. I. A., Wu-Tang Clan, Mike D of Beastie Boys( DJ set) and 70 + artists.
