their label - Atlantic records, to legendary latenight host David Letterman. Head Orwell

HELLO MY NAME IS MIDGE
Midge Ure has a rich legacy to look back on. His work with
Ultravox in the '80s was legendary, but we can't forget his
involvement with Visage, and several great solo records. And if
that wasn't enough, Ure co-wrote "Do They Know It's
Christmas?" 30 years ago with Bob Geldof, which eventually led
to Live Aid.
JUDAS PRIEST
UK heavy metal legends Judas Priest has been operating
above the law (and breaking it) since 1970. Redeemer of Souls, the
band’s 17th full-length album, marks its 40th anniversary. IE's
Kelley Simms talked to Rob Halford about getting back to basics,
and their triumphant return to form after 2008's disappointing
Nostradamus.

BILLY CORGAN
R.I.P. Robin Williams.
It’s a busy time to be Billy Corgan. The alt-rock veteran is tireless, gearing up for a seemingly endless amount of projects,
releases, and initiatives. Corgan recently released a limited run of
an experimental record titled AEGEA, which he recorded back in
2007. He also received the Vanguard Award at the initial
Alternative Press Music Awards this past July in Cleveland, presented to him by fellow Chicago entertainer CM Punk. IE's Jaime
Black sat down to talk with Smashing Pumpkins founder.
