We can ' t. We stand on that.
IE: Let’ s talk about the new album, Tomorrow We Escape. It goes hard, but it also sees you guys getting more personal on these songs. Your songs often comment on the world around you; they’ re very politically charged. So, was it challenging to turn that gaze inward, open up, and get more vulnerable on this album? have a great time. But we never have enough time to see the city. I ' m not really a touristy type nigga and shit, but you know that, that – what ' s that piece in the city center that y ' all got? It ' s like a big mirror type shit.
IE: The bean?
theOGM: Yeah! Yo. Like, niggas ain ' t never been nowhere near that shit. That would be something theOGM: Not for me.
Yeti Bones: Yeah, me neither. We come from backgrounds of hip hop, poetry, and jazz. We ' re already listening to music that expresses itself, whether it ' s Erykah Badu, Nas, or DMX storytelling.
theOGM: Yeah, yeah. You hit it on the money. We already listened to that sort of music. We came up on that sort of thing. To be honest, we want to continue developing that skill. The records are about growth and maturity. United States of Ho99o9 came out in 2017, and the energy we were on at that time was this I don ' t give a fuck mentality. And not saying that we still don ' t have that, but there ' s a certain level of maturity there. Everything ain ' t about politics and religion because I ' m a dad now. There’ re certain things I ' m doing in my life that I wasn ' t doing 10, 15 years ago. So, we want to be able to talk about those things, elaborate on those things. Our fans are everyday people that either go to school or go to work. They go out and party and have a good time but have to go back home and shit. We got the same struggles, and I want to be able to tap into that kind of shit. We got fans that are going through some crazy shit, like being in the hospital, and they send us messages like, " Yo, I was down bad. But this album or this song is what got me through this time. So, I ' m thinking about those things, and it ' s a lot to touch on. We can ' t just be politically charged all the time.
IE: For the tour, you guys will be making a stop in Chicago. Do you guys ever get a chance to hang out in the city when you’ re here?
theOGM: You know, we don ' t be having no time yet.
Yeti Bones: Every time we ' re in Chicago, it ' s been get there, play, and leave the next morning. We really ain ' t had no time to walk around or do anything, for real.
theOGM: For real, for real. And we ' ve been to Chicago several times. We just never really got to see the city like that. Obviously, there ' s the clichés from the outside looking in. You hear Chicago, like, yo, be careful out there. Niggas be treading, but that ' s what we hear. That ' s what they ' re going to make you believe. Not saying that it ' s not; it ' s dangerous everywhere. L. A. is dangerous. But they just drill that concept in your head that you better watch out. You get fucking strapped up. But the shows are always turned up. Every time we come to Chicago, we always

I would have to do just to be like, okay, I ' m here.
Yeti Bones: The bean, all right. We gotta pull up on the bean.
IE: To wrap up, you guys have the new single out, the record is out, and you’ ve got the tour coming up. What ' s next for Ho99o9? Are you guys already talking about a new album, or is it too soon?
theOGM: No, we ' re definitely talking about it for sure. Because in this day and age, you want to be as consistent as possible. And sometimes life things are happening where it’ ll be like, all right, I have to take a break. But if that ' s not the case, then we want to be consistent. So, the latest record came out in 2025. Our goal is to put out another record in 2027. So next year, that ' s our goal.
Yeti Bones: A new record is definitely in motion. New ideas, new expressions, new sounds. I got new things, like a butterfly over here. New inspo, you know?
