T

he holiday movie season kicks off with a wide selection of new releases. Edgar Wright ' s remake of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring dystopian action thriller, The Running Man, is based more closely on Stephen King ' s original 1982 novel( written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman) than the 1987 Paul Michael Glaser-directed film. Glen Powell, the remake king of Hollywood, stars as protagonist Ben Richards, who agrees to compete in a deadly reality show to save his daughter. Powell confirmed he received Arnie ' s approval before agreeing to the role. Check out these films in November.

Lynne Ramsay’ s blistering thriller / black comedy depicts a woman engulfed by love and madness, featuring stunning performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. Grace( Lawrence), a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in Montana, her increasingly agitated and erratic behavior leaves her husband, Jackson( Pattinson), worried and helpless. LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek co-star.

Predator: Badlands

Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi star in the latest standalone in the franchise, set in the future on a remote planet. A young Predator( Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia( Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
