Also fea- 54 illinoisentertainer.com may 2018 tured is the groundbreaking AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics) technology, realized with BOSS’s extensive research into the com- plex component interactions in classic gui- tar amplifiers. AIRD provides fully opti- mized performance with all types of devices, bringing new levels of audio qual- ity, flexibility, and practical usability to guitarists. Users can assign the GT-1000 to any destination, whether it’s a guitar amp input, an amp effects return, a power amp driving guitar speakers, or a full-range monitoring system. There are also user locations for loading additional selections from the GT-1000 AIRD Output Select Library software. For direct applications in the studio, the GT-1000 features a recording mode with a variety of built-in speaker and microphone types. Users also have the ability to import WAV-format speaker impulse responses with the GT-1000 IR loader software. With BOSS’s Multi-Dimensional Processing on board and advanced modu- lation, delay, and reverb algorithms from the popular 500-series pedals, users can config- ure amps and effects with numerous routing options and enjoy mute-free patch switching and delay carry- over thanks to the ultra- speedy DSP engine. The GT-1000 offers intuitive editing and pow- erful control with a large, bright stage-ready display, 10 assignable footswitches, and an onboard expression pedal with toe switch. Via Bluetooth users can edit and organize GT-1000 sounds wirelessly using dedicat- ed apps for iOS and Android devices. The BOSS GT-1000 Guitar Effects Processor is available now for $999.99 (U.S. street price). Baby AC Driver Radial AC-Driver Radial Engineering Ltd. is pleased to announced the AC-Driver from its Tonebone line is shipping this month. The AC-Driver is a compact acoustic instru- ment preamp designed for use on stage, with helpful features to streamline tones from user's instrument. Radial's Class-A buffer circuit ensures pristine audio quality, and allows users to connect to longer cables or pedal chains without signal loss or degradation. An amp output provides users a way to mon- itor themselves onstage, as well as a bal- anced line to feed the PA system or a pow- ered speaker for the audience. To tune silently or switch between instruments without causing clicking or popping onstage, the mute footswitch is able silence everything but the tuner output on the AC-Driver. This makes the AC-Driver perfect for live performances, especially if you don't have a dedicated sound engineer and need to switch instruments or tune silently on stage, or for shows where users want more control over your sound than a typical DI box might provide. The AC-Driver also includes an adjustable low cut filter to remove exces- sive low frequency content, along with powerful feedback-reducing features. A 180° phase adjustment switch allows users the ability to correct feedback build-up from hot spots on stage, while a notch fil- ter helps target and remove specific unwanted frequencies. The AC-Driver is powered using 9V adapters or multi-pedal power bricks, and its 14-gauge steel chassis and military grade circuit board ensure that it will endure the most punishing touring envi- ronments. List price is 149.00.
