Mosh: Now that you’ re on a break from WWE, is Fozzy your number one priority? Chris Jericho: It’ s not that I’ m on a break from WWE, Fozzy is the priority. Fozzy has been the priority since 2010. After we’ re done with the tour cycle, then I can start thinking about going back to WWE. So the focus and priority is on the band and that’ s the way it has to be. We’ re in the big leagues, but we’ re at the bottom end of the big leagues. So if you want to continue to grow and get to the middle of the ranks, [ then ] get to the top of the top, you have to put all of your focus into it. It’ s much like Corey Taylor. When Slipknot finishes he goes to Stone Sour. When Stone Sour finishes, he goes back to Slipknot.

Mosh: Growing up, you ' ve always dreamt about being a pro wrestler and a rock performer and you’ ve successfully done both. Chris Jericho: When I was a kid, those are the two things I wanted to do and most people thought I was crazy wanting to do even one of them, never mind two of them. I just always eliminated negativity and focused on the positive and what I wanted to do. I never looked at it like it’ s two completely different crazy things. I looked at it like,‘ This is what I’ m going to do with my life and I’ m just going to work my ass off to make it happen.’ And here I am all these years later doing these things. I don’ t really see that changing until the day I die. I’ ll still be playing music when I’ m 75 years old like the Stones. That’ s one good thing about rock‘ n’ roll, you can play it as long as you can stand.

Mosh: What do you like the most about your Talk is Jericho podcast? Chris Jericho: The one thing I love about Talk is Jericho is I get a chance to talk to my friends, and talk to people I’ ve always wanted to get to know. Paul Stanley was a big one. William Shatner was awesome. Hulk Hogan was awesome. Lemmy was great. I think people trust my judgement and trust who I’ m having on and know that it’ s going to be a great show. I had Bruno Sammartino on. We recorded it at one of his favorite Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh. That’ s a once in a lifetime thing that a lot of people will never get to experience. There’ s a lot of cool things that happen like that as a result of my show.

Mosh: What’ s in store for the future? Chris Jericho: I ' m going to keep doing what I ' m doing. I’ m an entertainer, I have been since I was 19 years old and I will be till the day I die. It’ s very gratifying to see Fozzy grow and it’ s great to keep my toe in the water with WWE and continue to grow Talk is Jericho [ podcast ]. I ' ve got another book coming out; I’ m doing a show for the Travel Channel. I don’ t do anything for money, I do it because I think I’ m going to enjoy it, or [ at least ] give me a new experience I ' ve never had before. At the end of the day, this is what I signed up for so I could never complain about getting a chance to tour the world doing what I love to do. I’ m very blessed with all those opportunities, for sure.
