Under The Microscope If you spend alot of time in the car like we do you've heard Chicago folk rocker Matthew Santos' Jeff Buckleyesque "Under The Microscope" on the American Family Insurance radio commercial. Santos has collaborated with Lupe Fiasco, and has been nominated for two Grammy's for those partnerships, and now he's in heavy rotation on AM radio courtesy of AFI. In his 2013 bio Santos says the musical diversity that marks his work is "the conflict of being a human being vs. being a brand." Ironically he's part of corporate "branding" now, but that's life in the modern music world. And just fine with his new fans.
