Under The Microscope
If you spend alot of time in the car like we do you've
heard Chicago folk rocker Matthew Santos' Jeff Buckleyesque "Under The Microscope" on the American Family
Insurance radio commercial. Santos has collaborated with
Lupe Fiasco, and has been nominated for two Grammy's
for those partnerships, and now he's in heavy rotation on
AM radio courtesy of AFI. In his 2013 bio Santos says the
musical diversity that marks his work is "the conflict of
being a human being vs. being a brand." Ironically he's
part of corporate "branding" now, but that's life in the
modern music world. And just fine with his new fans.
