With those new vinyl buyers coming into the marketplace , Chicagoland Record & CD Collector Show owner and founder John Govi had to make a choice to reach new vinylfans and collectors . After 20 + years of hosting shows in Hillside , the Chicagoland Record & CD Collectors show – the largest vinyl and CD show in the Midwest – is moving to a new location in Countryside for their July 16 show at Countryside Banquet and Conference Center , located at 6200 Joliet Road . Show founder John Govi knew it was time for a new location after requests from form
Countryside Banquets & Conference Center vinyl dealers and customers .
The new location enables theshowtogrowevenfurther and offers a few amenities not available at the old location , including driving access to Interstate 294 for customers coming from the northern suburbs and Interstate 55 ( the location is one block from LaGrange Road on Joliet Road ). “ We thank all of our loyal dealers and customers for all the great support given over the years . we realized that it was time to upgrade our hosting facility to keep our customers and dealers happy and to attract new vinyl fans to our show . We are really excited to bring the show to show to Countryside , and especially to see everybody again ,” Govi told IE when announcing the show ’ s move .
What collectors love about the show remains . Over 75 dealers from various record stores ( and collectors ) throughout the Midwest will be on hand selling vinyl , CDs , and DVDs , but now what many believe will be a better location . Music genres for sale are rock , metal , jazz , soul , and blues . An early bird viewing takes place at 7:00 am for a $ 10 entry for hardcore collectors who want a sneak peek at rare vinyl . Regular entry begins at 9 am for $ 3.00 . At last , vinyl enthusiasts and collectors are free to unite Sunday , July 16 , in Countryside .
