gie-woogie rhythm and infectious vocal harmonies capture a timeless tone similar to classic bands such as Status Quo , Ten Years After , and early Ted Nugent . From there , the Flamenco / western vibe of “ Sturgis ” and the ' 70s-styled The Doors / The Who-esque classic rock of “ Long Time Ago ” walk a familiar musical path . Tafoya and his band — Craig Cederholm ( percussion / vocals ) and Leslidiana F . Biocic ( bass / vocals ) — masterfully capture the essence of unbridled bluesy rock and roll . Every track is insanely catchy and vibrant with melodic hooks that will be stuck in your head for days . As a prominent staple in the Chicago and national music scene for more than 30 years , Tafoya has confidently earned his rock and roll stripes .
Freedom is a groovy , hip-shaking , head bobbing , raucous good time that will leave you wanting more .

1974 album was bandleader Jeff Lynne ’ s first concept album , following a humdrum underdog character through his escape into a secret life of dreams . The wistful “ Can ’ t Get it Out of My Head ” was the band ’ s first US top ten single . Other memorable tracks include “ Boy Blue ,” an anti-war song describing a conquering but disillusioned hero returning from battle during the middle ages . “ Mister Kingdom ” put Lynne ’ s Beatlemania on display with a sound echoing “ Across the Universe .” Overall , the album found Lynne indulging in ELO ’ s fusion of rock and classical music to the fullest , with resident conductor Louis Clark ’ s lush orchestration sharing space with chugging pop-rock guitars throughout . Richard Tandy ’ s funky clavinet adds a Billy Prestonstyled flair to “ Laredo Tornado ” while founding drummer Bev Bevan plays an understated but assured mid-tempo beat a la Mick Fleetwood . ELO mainstay Mik Kaminski anchors the string section on the violin . The saucy , show-tuney “ Nobody ’ s Child ” finds Lynne ’ s protagonist dazzled and smitten with a local “ painted lady .” “ Illusions in G Major ” is a rollicking track echoing ELO ’ s earlier homage and Chuck Berry cover “ Roll Over Beethoven ,” with sparkling brass added to the soaring strings . In the melancholy “ Eldorado ,” Lynne ’ s protagonist vows to remain in his dream world , and it ’ s up to the listener to decide whether this ultimate escape comes at the cost of the hapless character ’ s own life . Lynne would go on to greater chart-busting success with later Electric Light Orchestra offerings , but many fans consider this album to be the pinnacle of his original vision for the group . Lynne has said that careful listeners will hear “ Eldorado Finale ” conclude with the sound of the orchestral players packing their instruments while clocking out at the end of their session . Eldorado ’ s cinematic soundscapes and sublime pop melodies still allow fans to slip on their headphones and escape , just like the
