"I always say it's exactly like Boogie
Nights meets Rocky. It makes for a killer
movie," Zombie told IE in 2012.
"Growing up I was a huge hockey fan, so
I remember that time period. There's just
something about the way hockey was
back then. The players were sort of these
degenerate guys. They looked like the
Allman Brothers on skates. It just seemed
like there were no rules. It was just a vio-
tar maestro John 5 (Marilyn Manson,
David Lee Roth, 2wo, KD Lang) has
become an integral part of the band. The
six-string slinger is involved in the songwriting and coagulates well with
Zombie's vision and ethos.
"We have a lot of fun being in a band
with each other," John 5 said in a 2010
interview with SMNnews. "We get together and write riffs and he says, 'I like this'

lent, crazy sport."
The film in question that has caused the
Bullies delay was revealed last month
with title of 31. An evil clown head graces
the promo on Rob's official website giving illusions that it may possibly be connected to The Devils Rejects but it's hard to
tell what lies in the brain of a mad scientist (genius?) such as Rob Zombie.
However, speculations have been bombarding the internet .
With new material looming, Zombie &
Co. have begun writing their next album,
(as of yet untitled) with no official release
date.
"Probably early next year," Zombie told
Loudwire's Full Metal Jackie last month. "I
don't know, it will come out as soon as
someone steals it. As soon as someone at
the record label has a copy it will come
out."

or 'I like that.' He's involved in every little note that I play, so it's great. We just
have a great time. It's the best band I've
ever been in by far in my whole life. It's
so much fun, I can't even begin to
explain. We just have a blast. I'm very fortunate to finally be in a band with him
because I've always wanted to be in a
band with him."
Having played with so many diverse
bands and artists throughout his career,
John 5 has an impressive resume with a
rather successful solo career, releasing 7
solo records with another scheduled this
year. J5 has proven himself capable of
branching out musically and he's always
up for the task. "I'm a fan of music and I
just love all music in different styles. If
you're eating the same kind of food all
the time, you want a little bit of variety.
And that's how I am too with music. I
wanted to branch out and get deep inside
Guitarist John 5 (far left) and Rob Zombie (far right) with the staff of VH 1's That Metal Show
and reach out and grab some music I
really love to listen to and love to play."
With the just released The Zombie Horror
Picture Show concert DVD (his first concert film), along with a companion book,
Zombie is keeping himself busy. The
band just played a handful of European
dates and his US tour is beginning to take
shape. What's the plan for the rest of the
year? "This is a real short run, and then
we are going to go back and continue on
the album," Zombie told Loudwire. "We
started a new album in December, and
then we do that for about a month. Then
we head to Europe for the summer. It's
kind of like half festivals and half headlining shows, and then we come back to
the States and do some more gigs. I will
probably be starting a new movie and
will probably be shutting down the
music for a while."
