The film won the Safdie Brothers best directors from The New York Film Critics Circle, and Sandler won Best Actor from The National Board of Review. The film has earned a Best Drama nomination from the Golden Globes, the Safdies a Best Director nomination, and Sandler a Best Male Lead nomination. Could Sandler receive an Oscar nomination?
