NEW ORDER Brotherhood Definitive Box Set ( Warner Records )
It is not officially part of RSD Black Friday but is equally essential to November ’ s release schedule . New Order ’ s breakthrough 1986 album spawned the massive single “ Bizarre Love Triangle ,” which found the band finally finding the perfect mix of post-wave rock and electronic gems they had barely yet exploited . The box set will contain the original album remastered , on CD and vinyl , and also offers an extra CD of unreleased demos and rarities and two DVDs with rare live and TV appearances . The LP + 2CD + 2DVD package includes a hardcover book with sleeve notes by DJ Dave Fanning ., according to Super Deluxe Edition . Warner ’ s will also be a series of 12- inch vinyl releases to coincide with the November 22 release of the box . They will be ‘ State of the Nation ,’ ‘ Bizarre Love Triangle ,’ and the non-album ‘ Touched by the Hand of God .’ These records will be pressed on 180g black vinyl .
A new ( old ?) remix of “ Bizarre Love Triangle ” is now streaming ; this Steven Hague 12 ” Remix captures the spirit of the original remixes .
THE BLASTERS Over There : Live at The Venue London 1982 , The Complete Concert ( Liberation Hall )
On their first international tour in May 1982 , Americana music legends The Blasters recorded at the Venue in London , England . Six tracks were released on Slash Records as a 12 ” EP later that year . Four more tracks were uncovered and included on the Rhino / Warner Bros anthology album Testament in 1997 . As part of a new catalog deal for the Blasters ' recordings with Liberation Hall , the label has uncovered the thirteen remaining tracks and is releasing the complete concert . The show
