FEBRUARY STUDIO REPORT Dave Johnston worked the bagpipes on James Hollis' track at Gravity Studios A T GRAVITY STUDIOS in Chicago, James Hollis recorded with Neal Wehman on drums, while Dave Johnston added a brilliant round of bag- pipes on the music. At RAX TRAX, the Orange Slices ses- sions were engineered by Noam Wallenberg, and co-produced by Noam and Wallace, with production additions from Will Post and Packy Lundholm. The Band Royale also recorded new music at Rax Trax, while Michael Kirkpatrick made new music, fea- turing Chicago guitarist extraordinaire Bob Palmieri and jazz legend Dave Liebman! At RANGER STUDIOS in Franklin Park Tangleweed and Mad Bread produced their video shoot on the main showcase stage, while Unlikely Souls worked the sound- stage in January. Other bands at Ranger last month included Scraps of Brass, and Ten-96. Tom Bonick, in association with Ranger Studios and Sound, will be bringing back his original music concert series to local cable television this Spring. He's looking for bands with original music in any genre, to be part of the series.
