COVER STORY:
THE 1975
Meet Matty Healy, the charismatic, almost foppish frontman for The 1975, a British band that has
quietly toured up to theatre-headlining prominence over the past three years courtesy of its
eponymous 2013 debut (with quirk-chorded hit
singles like “Sex,” “Girls,” and “Chocolate”) and a
grueling tour schedule that could include 300-plus
gigs a year. And like a king, or perhaps a pop-chart
prince, he's now inspired a kind of dogged devotion in his subjects. Err, fans. Tom Lanham talked
to the Manchester maven.

WOLFMOTHER
Dropkick Murphys return to the legendary Aragon
Ballroom on Feb 19th for their 20th Anniversary Tour. This
month's "Hello, My Name Is..." connects with DKM drummer Matt Kelly, who has logged in nearly two decades on
the drum throne with the band, bashing out their passionate
brand of Boston-based Celtic punk rock. John Vernon talked
to one of Beantown's best.

Season of glass.
Lately, Australian rocker Andrew Stockdale can’t help feeling a little bit like Lazarus, freshly raised from the dead. In 2013,
he unceremoniously laid to rest his Sabbath-sludgy outfit
Wolfmother after two albums and three Grammy-equvilant
ARIA trophies in its homeland. A year later, he issued a record
that had started as a band project, “New Crown,” under his own
name, and booked a solo tour of America. But Wolfmother simply would not stay buried. Tom Lanham talked to Stockdale
about the rise and fall, and rise of his baby.
