It ’ s what we do .” And Alex started joking around to him and said , “ Well , yeah , okay . I ’ ll go on the road if you ’ ll be my manager .” And Paul started laughing . He said , “ Yeah , sure , I ’ ll do that .” And then Alex said , “ And if you ’ ll be our caterer , too .” It was just a lovely gesture . It was unprovoked , and [ McCartney ] was just sharing what he really felt from his heart . He just thought we should keep doing it . I appreciated that .

IE : Have you and Alex gotten together to work on songwriting a bit ? GL : Well , we haven ’ t done it recently because I

there were his glasses left exactly where he had left them when we finished writing Clockwork Angels , believe it or not . He picked them up , and they still worked . We started messing about and jamming together . In a few minutes , I was already bossing him around . “ Wait , why don ’ t you try this note here ?” We just started laughing . We left everything we recorded on tape , and I didn ’ t look at it again . We walked away knowing that that ’ s something we should do at one point in the future . I hope that in the coming year we ’ ll make that happen .

Chicago-based Kevin Lee & the Kings are recording at RAX TRAX CHICAGO for a new release with owner / producer Rick Barnes engineering . Larry Beers also recorded drums for Mark Brown ’ s new music with Sean McKenzie , engineer , Don Griffin , producer , and Luca assisting as an intern .

DON GRIFFIN MASTERING AND MIXING Jerome Haywood ( pictured ) tracked new music . Chris Hambone Cameron also mixed Mark Brown ' s new music . Bill Messner was also recording new songs in the studio . Michael Jones also mixed and mastered his infectious psychedelic , Hendrix-inspired rocker “ Groovy Under The Sun .”

At GRAVITY STUDIOS , director Susan Kelsey was in the studio with composer William Buchholtz Allison , recording tracks for the film The Negotiator . “ William and I went to the studio to add more soundtracks for the film . I would ask him for a water song , or a yearning song , or , a lonely song , and he would compose right off his fingertips . William , thank you for your gift , your friendship , and for your beautiful soul .” The film is scheduled for 2024 release .
