APRIL STUDIO REPORT
Ministry
Ministry is in the studio again tracking
their follow up to 2018's AmeriKKKant.
Founder Al Jourgensen announced the
news on social media last month, using stay
at home orders as a reason to making new
music. The latest version of the band fea-
tures ex- Tool member Paul D'Amour
(bass) and (drummer) Derek Abrams.
Local H is dropping its first new album
in five years, LIFERS, on April 10 on
AntiFragile Music. The album was record-
ed at ELECTRICAL AUDIO with famed
producer Steve Albini with some help by
longtime producer and studio mentor
Andy Gerber, with guest appearances by
Juliana Hatfield and John McCauley of
Deer Tick.
The Beatles White Album also helped
Lucas blueprint LIFERS. "When the re-
release of the White Album came out a few
years ago, I became obsessed all over again.
One aspect that really hit me about it (this
time) was how it’s not really a concept
record — but it feels like a concept record. I
wanted to do that with LIFERS. This might
be a concept record about the end of the
world. Or it might just be a party record
with loud guitars and cowbells."
