Moog DFAM Rhythm Synthesizer
Since its introduction in January at the NAMM Show, Moog ' s DFAM( Drummer From Another Mother), their first addition to the Mother eco-system of semi-modular analog synthesizers, has been highly anticipated. DFAM is an original electronic instrument for the exploration of new concepts in rhythm and resonance, according to Moog.

instruments and each DFAM includes a package of patch cables, letting users interconnect to the synthesizer’ s 24-point modular patchbay. Users can create new sounds or " bizarre behaviors," and synchronize an unlimited number of DFAM and Mother-32 synthesizers together, or fully integrate this analog instrument into a modular Eurorack production environment.
Each DFAM is designed, assembled, calibrated and tested in Asheville, NC at their employee-owned factory. DFAM began shipping last month from the Moog
Factory to authorized dealers.
The drum machine is a highly-interactive, Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer and a vibrant deviation from the traditional drum machine--presenting an expressive hands-on approach to percussive pattern creation.
DFAM’ s fully analog circuitry behaves much like a living organism, reacting in different ways to input from different individuals, much like analog drim machines of the late ' 70s and early ' 80s but with modern technology. To demonstrate the sounds of this new synthesizer, Moog enlisted DJ Haram, Stud1nt, and Umfang – all members of NY’ s Discwoman collective. On their website users can explore the DRAM and demo its features.

Lunastone Pedals comes the States
D & A Guitar Gear, manufacturer of high-quality, innovative guitar stands, and accessories is branching out to music technology. Last month the companiy announced an exclusive U. S. distribution agreement with Danish Guitar pedal brand, Lunastone Pedals, known for its TrueOverDrive technology that is based on " cascading gain stage designs," according to the company.
Lunastone, an electronics company based in Copenhagen, Denmark announced that as of March, D & A Guitar Gear will distribute its full line of Guitar Pedals to musical instrument retailers across the U. S.
Lunastone was formed in 2012 and has gained worldwide attention for its TrueOverDrive 1 and TrueOverDrive 2 pedals, as well as the company’ s original pedals Wise Guy, Big Fella and Three Stage Rocket, all of which build on the " cascading-gain-stages " approach to pedal design. Lunastone’ s founder and head engineer, Steen Grøntved, is a passionate guitarist who couldn’ t find the overdrive sound he was looking for in a pedal, which eventually ignited the idea of creating a unique overdrive circuit of his own.
Lunastone will be shipping four new pedals this Spring. Smooth Drive 1, a low-gain overdrive that adds a whole new dimension to‘ tasteful crunch’. Blue Drive 1, designed for – but not limited to – soulful blues tone with an edge and fullness that puts it in a league of its own. Distortion 1 offers a thick and responsive sound that is simply a " guitar player musthave." Red Fuzz 1 nails snarling and classy fuzz sound, but also manages to bite gently, pleasantly and with a unique touch at lower gain settings.
Allan Strand, CEO of Lunastone Pedals told IE that“ Lunastone is a unique and fast-growing company, focused more than anything on making great products. Being in a period of significant growth, it was absolutely essential for us to find the right partner to handle the sales, marketing and distribution to the the US market. D & A Guitar Gear are the creators of high-quali-
