OUR MISSION
Our Mission
Based at Keele Hall, where the University was
originally founded, the Institute of Liberal Arts
and Sciences at Keele is a vibrant, welcoming
hub which distils our long history and
commitment to interdisciplinary research
and teaching and learning. It is home to our
inspiring new interdisciplinary degrees;
Natural Sciences and Liberal Arts and the
prestigious Grand Challenges Lecture Series.
The Institute brings together
researchers from across
Health, Humanities and
Social Sciences and Natural
Sciences both within the
university and from across the
world and promotes research
that drives innovation, and
makes a difference to society
and culture.
Offering spaces and places
for conversations across
the disciplines and for
debating current challenging
and pressing questions
the Institutes’s energising
environment stimulates the
academic and cultural life
of the University for all
students, our staff and the
wider Keele community.
