WELCOME MESSAGE
FROM THE CEO
Dear Parents and Students,
As the new school year begins, I have some updates to
share with you.
First, enrollment, where we have twenty-five students
returning and another twenty-five new students,
bringing our numbers to at least fifty students. This is
significantly higher than the start of the last school year,
wonderful confirmation that we are on track with our
rebuilding of IJGA as a premier junior golf academy,
with our new golf team led by Jonathan Yarwood and
with our extensive new golf facilities.
Secondly, description of golf and schooling options.
In order to give students their best access to golf
coaches and our facilities we endeavor to have half of
our students in our morning golf program and half in
the afternoon program, which our partner school The
Heritage Academy accommodate with morning school
from 7:15 am to 12:00 pm and afternoon school from
12:15 pm to 5:00 pm.
Thirdly, an exciting new development on the collaboration
between our partner IJGT golf tour (in which IJGA has
a 10% ownership) and the other leading junior golf tour,
HJGT. We will launch a number of new “Elite” events, by
2
invitation only to the strongest junior golfers, starting
with two events in Fall 2018 and then four events in
Spring 2019. In our Agreements we required all students
to support our partner IJGT golf tour by playing in at
least four events, and we are pleased that with these
strong “Elite” events, we are able to provide competitive
fields which also provide for better JGS ranking points.
The price point will be $100 more than regular events
due to the quality of field and also expected quality
of golf course venue, with these events additionally
qualifiers for the Faldo Series Regional Finals and then
US Grand Finals, where winners go on to play in either
the Faldo European or Asian Grand Finals.
Although we are only a few weeks into the new school
year, our excitement builds as we continue to make
improvements to all aspects of our program. We trust
that our student, your child, enjoyed their time at home
with family and received some much needed rest for the
busy academy life that awaits them.
Sincerely,
Andrew Summers
